Qigong /Chi Kung-The Hague-Lessons-Stress
Welcome to the website of Joy Chi Qigong!
You probably found me because your body indicates that you are tired because of poor sleep, you have tense muscles, you are stressed by all those deadlines at work and you have to perform optimally. Make decisions quickly. Have a busy job in combination with your family or another situation where you have tremendous stress. You have difficulty concentrating and you always forget something.
Or you just want to have a moment for yourself and work on your health and condition in a calm way.
Then following Qigong lessons is the solution!
How can I help you with that?
The effectiveness of qigong is determined by one’s rujing (the entering of rest). The deeper the rujing, the greater the effect on our body and mind. We reach rujing by using meditation and fang song. We achieve fang song by using our consciousness and breathing. By focusing our consciousness and attention on breathing, we let go of our thoughts (fang) and song is created (the absence of all unnecessary tension).
In the western world, by relaxation we usually mean letting go of any tension, but the Chinese word song means, “the absence of all unnecessary tension.” Fang Song can therefore be translated as “active or conscious relaxation.”
I am going to teach you how through movement, breathing techniques, visualization, meditation and self-massage, you will relax your body and that you will get peace of mind. This will improve your health and immune system. You start to feel more vital and cheerful. You can concentrate better and you get sharper awareness. What will you sleep well again!
The body becomes stronger, more flexible, joints become flexible again and the blood circulation is improved. The sun inside will shine again!

What is Qigong?
Qigong (Chi Kung / Dao Yin) is a more than 5000 year old Chinese movement theory with the aim to restore balance to body and mind.
Qi stands for “life energy” and Gong means “art or skill”. So you can translate it “as controlling and working with life energy”
What is meant by life energy?
Life energy is energy that ensures that a person, animal or plant can live. In India people speak of “Prana”. In Japan “Chi” and in China Qi or Ki. Qi flows through our body over energy channels (meridians) that are connected to our organs.
Everyone is born with a supply of life energy but this decreases over the years due to external factors such as stress, illness, busy job, pollution, etc.
In short, everything that gives you the feeling that it “costs you energy.”
If we do not supplement this energy, we will burn out. There are different ways to regain energy such as walking in nature. Cooking a delicious meal. Reading a book. Massage. Social contacts. Traveling. Everyone has their own way to recharge themselves. The best effect is combining this with Qigong.
When I am in nature and combine Qigong with this, I feel more relaxed and happier. Certainly of flowers! That’s why you see flowers on my website. It makes me happy and it gives me energy.
