What is stress

You can define stress, or Yingli in Chinese, as a state in which there is an imbalance between the demands placed on an individual and the possibilities that this person has at his disposal to meet those demands.

If stressful situations keep repeating, it has a negative effect on the body and stress symptoms can arise.

Below a list of complaints (and then I am not even talking about the psychological complaints and behavioral changes):

  • fatigue
  • sleep disorders
  • increased blood pressure / cholesterol
  • palpitation
  • dizziness
  • headache
  • muscle strain
  • reduced resistance
  • digestive problems

Seventy to seventy-five percent of people who visit the GP are stress-related.

Qigong is extremely suitable to calm your head and to become aware of your body again, so that these symptoms will decrease and sometimes even disappear.
